چکیده

This study introduces a zeta potential-based model which connects low salinity water flooding oil recovery to the reservoir wettability. The assumed that wettability is controlled by electrostatic forces exist between rock-brine and oil-brine interfaces. Therefore, it links potentials present at corresponding Using model, various literature data were simulated then statistically compared trend of factor with indicator values. Pearson correlation coefficient was used for statistical analysis. results from suggested outputs computed other pre-existing models alteration. simulation outcome indicated strong relationship exists produced calculated exceeded 0.7 all experimental cases simulated. However, most showed weak relationships values factor, some producing below 0.2. highlights role interfaces on alteration during flooding. can be utilized in decision making implementation works. Zeta potential in oil-water-carbonate systems and its impact on oil recovery during controlled salinity water-flooding

Laboratory experiments and field trials have shown that oil recovery from carbonate reservoirs can be increased by modifying the brine composition injected during recovery in a process termed controlled salinity water-flooding (CSW). However, CSW remains poorly understood and there is no method to predict the optimum CSW composition. This work demonstrates for the first time that improved oil r...

Roughness uncertainty analysis in river flooding using HEC-RAS model

Although flood maps based on the deterministic approach play an important role in minimizing flood losses, there is considerable uncertainty in calculating the level of water inundation. Roughness is a key parameter in water surface elevation. Since roughness is not easily measurable and is estimated based on experimental and laboratory methods, it introduces a significant degree of uncertainty...

CORE FLOOD STUDIES TO EVALUATE EFFICIENCY OF OIL RECOVERY BY LOW SALINITY WATER FLOODING AS A SECONDARY RECOVERY PROCESS

Various researches on laboratory and field scale illustrate that manipulating the ionic composition and the ion concentration of injected water can affect the efficiency of water flooding and the interaction of injected water with rock and other fluids present in porous media. The objectives of this paper are to investigate parameters that affect low salinity water flooding; mainly the effect o...

the effectiveness of strategy-based instruction in teaching english as a second or foreign language: a meta-analysis of experimental studies

a large number of single research studies on the effects of strategy-based instruction (sbi) in teaching english as a foreign or second language has been conducted so far. however, the lack of a comprehensive meta-analysis targeting the effectiveness of english language sbi is observed. moreover, the findings of experimental studies regarding the context of the english language, proficiency lev...

a swot analysis of the english program of a bilingual school in iran
